The video now running first aired on CBS News in May 2009. It speaks for itself.
It is a monumental day in all our lives when we realize that even our parents have feet of clay. For young adults who have lived uninterrupted through the magical years when we rest in the assurance that nothing can harm us, that day marks a passage into adulthood and a life of confidence in our abilities to take care of ourselves no matter what comes. For children, it marks a passage into despair.
This is the reason Rainbow Village exists—to provide an environment in which homeless children can reclaim the magic just a little bit longer—cared for by people who come to symbolize stability and family while their parents regain the confidence to take care of themselves and provide the magic again for their children.
Read on to find out how, since 1991, the people of Rainbow Village have shared God's unassailable love, and how with your help, we will break the cycles of homelessless, poverty and domestic violence.

Begun as Rainbow House, an outreach ministry of Christ Episcopal Church in Norcross, Georgia, Rainbow Village is a transitional housing program for homeless families with children. The overwhelming majority of families that have come to Rainbow Village were fleeing domestic violence. More and more are calling because of lost jobs that have forced families out of their homes.
In its 18 years of existence, more than 200 families and 500 children have worked their way through the 1-2 year program, and over 90% have broken the cycles of homelessness, poverty and domestic violence.
By becoming a Rainbow Village Angel, you can help us triple the number of families served, watch as God transforms their lives, and you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams.
